Cleaning van check

Do you know which cleaning vans can leave before crews leave?

DockBeacon helps small commercial cleaning teams see which vans can leave, which are blocked, which were not checked today, and who is handling the fix before the morning slips.

Quick answer

A cleaning van check should tell you before departure whether each van can leave, can leave with follow-up, is blocked, or has not been checked today. DockBeacon gives owners that Morning Dispatch view without GPS tracking or route optimization.

No signup required for the sample • From $39/month USD when you are ready • 7-day trial

Morning Dispatch

Today before crews leave

Can leave

The van was checked today and has no blocker that should stop the crew from leaving.

Van

Blocked

A missing item, out supply, or service concern needs a decision before dispatch.

Van

Not checked today

No one has completed the daily van check, so the owner does not have a current answer.

Van

Answer yes or no

Does this describe your dispatch morning?

If you answered yes to two or more, DockBeacon may be a fit.

Do you run more than one van?

Do crews ever borrow gear from another van?

Do missing supplies get found after the route starts?

Do problems get posted in a group chat but not assigned?

Do you know which vans were not checked today?

Do repeated missing items show up again later?

Does one missing item create callbacks, discounts, or client frustration?

What DockBeacon shows before dispatch

A clear status for every cleaning van.

Can leave

The van was checked today and has no blocker that should stop the crew from leaving.

Blocked

A missing item, out supply, or service concern needs a decision before dispatch.

Not checked today

No one has completed the daily van check, so the owner does not have a current answer.

Can leave with follow-up

The van may be able to leave, but low supplies or open issues still need owner attention.

Cost of one missing item

The cheapest time to fix the problem is before the van leaves.

Think about the last time a crew left without the right gear or supplies. Did someone drive back, start late, discount the invoice, or spend the morning chasing the answer? One avoided return trip, callback, or client complaint can cover the Starter plan at $39/month for up to 3 vans. Estimate missing gear cost.

How it works

Four steps to a morning dispatch answer.

Step 1

Start with one van.

Step 2

Add gear and supplies that actually delay routes.

Step 3

Crew completes a fast daily check from a phone.

Step 4

Owner reviews Morning Dispatch before crews leave.

Not fleet management

Focused on daily cleaning van checks before crews leave.

No GPS tracking
No route optimization
No payroll
No CRM
No full inventory accounting
Just daily cleaning van checks before crews leave

Blocked-van sample

See the moment a van should not leave yet.

The sample shows one failed required gear item, one low supply/restock item, one maintenance concern, owner follow-up, and the proof/report outcome after submission.

Blocked van example

  • Missing backpack vacuum
  • Low disinfectant
  • Service light concern
  • Assigned person/fix-by follow-up
  • Proof and report outcome

Common questions

Everything you need to know before you sign up.

How long does a daily van check take?

About 2 minutes. Open the app on a phone, answer the checklist for that van, and submit. Morning Dispatch updates immediately.

Do my crew members need DockBeacon accounts?

Yes - anyone running a check needs an account. Invite your crew and supervisors by email from Settings. On the Starter plan, up to 5 accounts are included.

How do I know if a van is blocked?

Open Morning Dispatch before crews leave. Any blocked van shows the reason right there: missing gear, low supply, or open service concern.

What if my team forgets to run a check?

Morning Dispatch shows Not checked today for any van without a completed check. If a van is unchecked, the crew cannot confirm it is ready.

What is a dispatch override and do I need it?

When a van is flagged but must go out anyway, an owner, admin, or supervisor can document the reason and send it. If you have fewer than 4 vans, Starter may be enough.

Start self-serve

Start with one van and build from what actually delays routes.

Set up one van, review the default checklist, and run the first daily van check yourself. If it prevents one missing item this month, it can pay for itself.
